While there are many reasons for seizure the most common are for the suspected transportation of persons accused of being in the Unites States illegally or for the suspected transportation of unlawful drugs or products. If you look at the historical trend of the numbers shown in the chart you will see the very aggressive way the CBP has adopted the use of this system.
The list below shows all the vehicles currently listed as active impounds in their system. Note that many times vehicles are not listed for months or years after the impoundments. It is common to not see a vehicle on this list during an active action. It is always best to have an attorney use contact the CPB about any suspected impoundments.
